Credits

Credits are account resources used for selected project operations in This tool. Project creators can see rule hints in project settings, file submission, and backup pages. This public guide explains shared rules and never exposes a person’s balance.

Current public credit rules

Where credits apply

  • File metadata submission may use Normal credits.
  • Projects using unlimited collection may use Unlimited collection credits.
  • Backup export uses Normal credits according to the number of file records.

Normal credits

Used for file submission records and backup export under the project rules.

File submission

  1. Each project has a free-submission threshold. Records within the threshold do not consume Normal credits.
  2. After the threshold is exceeded, the current public rule calculates a cost for each file record.
  3. Free submission for the creator or collaborators depends on the corresponding public settings.
  4. Before submission, This tool checks the project limit, submitter role, and current rule to determine whether the operation can continue.

Backup export

Backup export is separate from everyday project storage. Before an export starts, This tool estimates Normal credits usage from the file-record count and performs a credit preflight check. If the preflight check fails, the export does not start. Configuring storage does not mean that a backup has already completed.

Unlimited collection credits

Used by unlimited collection projects under the daily collection rules. The first eligible submission for a day consumes the configured daily amount; later submissions on the same day generally reuse that daily collection state instead of charging the same daily amount again.

If a project reaches its consumption limit, available resources are insufficient, or the project rule no longer allows unlimited collection, This tool falls back to the project’s standard file-submission flow or asks the creator to adjust the project settings.

Exemptions and project limits

The site administrator controls whether creators and collaborators receive free submissions. Project creators can also set a project consumption limit to protect resources during long-running work. The submission page is the source of truth for the result of a specific operation.

Where to see the hints

  • Project settings: review unlimited collection, consumption limits, and participant rules.
  • File submission: review the free threshold, estimated cost, and the insufficient-credit behavior before submitting.
  • Backup: review the file-record count, preflight result, and required standard credits before exporting.

Balance and purchase

Personal balances are account data and are not shown in this public guide. To purchase credits, sign in and use the existing purchase entry in the account area.

Notes

  • The site administrator may change credit rules. Dynamic values in this guide reflect the latest public rules loaded when the page opens.
  • Storage configuration, backup jobs, and credit preflight are separate concepts. After configuring storage, run a backup and confirm its result independently.
  • When a credit, limit, or rule warning appears, review the project settings and submission scope before changing the workflow or purchasing credits.
